·         Prepared and compiled the report on ‘Imapct of rainfall induced natural calamity on agriculture and allied sectors in Kerala and revival strategies” and submitted to Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Govt. Of India.


·         Developed a national strategy for the coconut sector revitalization of Kingdom of Tonga as Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Coconut Development Expert   .


·         A Gravity Model was developed to capture the impact of food safety standards on exports.


·         The concept of sectoral system of innovation was applied to the coconut sector and suggested an alternate frame for the sustainable coconut sector.


·         Consultant of MSP of copra and policy aspects of coconut-CACP, New Delhi. Annual policy write ups are developed in this respect.


·         Developed a policy note on impact of Free Trade Agreements on Indian coconut sector.


·         A policy perspective developed for the possible reasons of frequent price fluctuations in the coconut sector and plausible solutions.


·         Developed and implemented market promotion strategies for coconut chips under the NAIP project-Value Chain in Coconut.


·         Methodology developed for the impact assessment of perennial cropping system and empirically validated.


·         Methodology developed to estimate the consumption of tender coconut and the concept of domestic value chain theory was developed and applied to analyze the tender coconut market


·         A ready-reckoner for the cost of production analysis of coconut and arecanut was developed which has its policy level utilization in Minimum Support Prices fixation as well as fixing scale of finance by banking institutions.


·         D T Doshi Foundation Best Research Paper Presentation Award in the 27th Agricultural Economics Research Association Conference held at PAU, Ludhiana during 17-19 December 2019.


·         Best Arecanut Scientist Award” for the biennium 2016-18, instituted by the Indian Society for Plantation Crops (ISPC) for the pioneering research work on domestic arecanut value chain.


·         International Consultant (ITEC Expert) to Kingdom of Tonga under the Indian Technical and Economic cooperation (ITEC) programme of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a Period of seven months (from March 2017) and developed the national coconut development strategy for the country. Awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Government of Tonga.


·         Best Research Paper award (poster) in National Symposium for ‘Sectoral innovation system of coconuts in India: Institutional voids and organizational resilience’. 22nd Plantation Crops Symposium (December, 2016), ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod.


·         Recipient of the Best Research Paper award for the paper “Restructuring the value chain governance: The impact of food safety regime on Kerala, India” in 17th the International Institute of Economics and Trade-2014 conference held at Brisbane, Australia during 07-11 July 2014.


·         Best poster presentation award for ‘Imperativeness of stabilized prices in the system of innovation: The case of coconut sector’ in the National Seminar on sustainability and profitability of coconut, arecanut and cocoa farming held at CPCRI Kasaragod during 22-23 August 2014.


·         Winner of the Best research paper award of IIFET 2010 held at Montpellier, France during 12-17 July 2010 for the research paper ‘Impact of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures on Indian Seafood Industry: A Macro and Micro Level Analysis”.


·         The research paper titled ‘Spatial smoothing techniques in field experiments’ published in the Journal of Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics (co-author) has been adjudged the best among the papers in the field of Designs of Experiments. The award was given on December 03, 2010.


·         Recipient of Dr. R.L.Narasimha Swamy Memorial Award for the best second best original research paper entitled; Economic evaluation of high density multispecies cropping system in root (wilt) disease affected coconut area in Kerala in PLACROSYM XIX held at Rubber Research Institute of India, Kottayam from 7-10 December, 2010.


·         Awarded travel grant and local hospitality by the by United Nations University, UNU-MERIT (Maastricht, The Netherlands) to participate in the GLOBELICS 2010 International conference at Dakar, Senegal during 6-8 October 2009 to present the research paper titled” Food safety regulations and trade effects, with special reference to Kerala, South India”


·         Scroll of honour conferred by Indian Society of Plantation Crops in recognition of the dedicated services to ISPC as Secretary during 2010-2012.
