Training programme on ‘Basic and advanced nursery techniques in arecanut’ for Scheduled Caste youths at ICAR-CPCRI, Vittal
Feb 01, 2023 : ICAR-CPCRI, RS, Vittal | Author:webadminA training programme on ‘Basic and advanced nursery techniques in arecanut’ sponsored by Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, is organized at ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal, for the period from 01.02.2023 to 31.03.2023 to disseminate detailed information on basic and advanced nursery techniques in arecanut to Scheduled Caste youths for ameliorating the livelihood of the scheduled caste communities and encouraging self-employment opportunities among Scheduled Caste people.
Inaugural programme of the training was held at ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal on 01.02.2023.
Dr. N.R. Nagaraja, Senior Scientist, ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal and the Programme Director, welcomed all the guests and trainees.
Dr. S. Elain Apshara, Acting Head, ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal, made introductory remarks.
Dr. K.B. Hebbar, Director, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, inaugurated the training by watering arecanut seedlings raised in biodegradable eco pots prepared from arecanut stem and by lighting lamp and delivered inaugural address.
Dr. K. Muralidharan, Acting Head, Social Sciences and Nodal Officer, SCSP/TSP, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, offered felicitations to the programme.
Dr. Ravi Bhat, Acting Head, Crop Production, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, Dr. Vinayaka Hegde, Acting Head, Crop Protection, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, Dr. V. Niral, Acting Head, Crop Improvement, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, all the Technical Staff, Administrative Staff, Skilled Support Staff and Contractual Staff of ICAR-CPCRI, Vittal were also present during the inaugural programme.
