A training programme on ‘Apiculture’ was organized at ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod from 12th -13th October 2022 for Scheduled Caste farmers under the SCSP scheme. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. K. Muralidharan, Director (I/c), ICAR - CPCRI, Kasaragod. Mr. Ramchandra, Mr. Mathew P.V. and Mr. Charlie Mathew delivered a talk in Malayalam on honey bee rearing, harvesting, pest and disease management and production of its value added products, how to start a beekeeping as business, etc. This was followed by practical demonstrations on the process of assembling the bee box and its maintenance. Dr. Rajkumar, Scientist, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod was the Coordinator of the programme. More than 70 Scheduled Caste farmers participated in the programme.
