ICAR - CPCRI scientists participated in the Farmers - Scientist interface meeting organized by the 'Kaaniyoor Savanoor Farmers producer Company Limited' in collaboration with Savanoor agri cooperative society and ICAR - CPCRI at Savanoor village of Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka on 19.09.20222. Further, Dr. Rajkumar and Dr. Prathibha V. H. , Scientist delivered lecture cum demonstration on production protocols of Entomopathognic nematode (EPN) and Trichoderma harzianum at local level for the distribution of fresh bio-control materials to the needy farmers in the region for eco-friendly management of pest and disease in coconut and arecanut based cropping system. Dr. Nagraj N. R., Scientist delivered lecture on Arecanut crop management practices and improved varieties.

Smt. Asha Rai, the beneficiary of CPCRI technology has given feedback about her effort made in successful establishment of Trichodrema production unit at Savanoor village after undergoing training at ICAR - CPCRI . She produced more than 100 kg (Rs. 10,000) Trichoderma and distributed to the Deejay coconut farm, Goa and surrounding farmers other than her own farm use. More than 110 farmers were participated and benefited from the programme.
