Smt. R. Swagat Bhandari IAS, District Collector inaugurated the World Coconut Day programme at ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod on 2nd September 2022. She told that the research outcomes would only become useful when they get translated into helpful products for the public. She also appreciated the programmes conducted by CPCRI in various aspects of coconut research.

The District Collector handed over MoUs for technology transfer of Kalparasa® to Hallikere Coconut Producer Organisation, MTA for bioagents research to NITK, Surathkal and Bean to bite chocolate MoA for incubation to Shri Abhilash, Kasaragod.

Smt. Meenarani, District Officer, SCSP programme told that she has a better hope that trainees from CPCRI could succeed to get job opportunities, esp. the SC/ST youth. She distributed certificates on the occasion to the SC/ST trainees on computer applications conducted by CPCRI.

Dr. K. Muralidharan, Head (Acting), in his keynote address highlighted various entrepreneurial technologies developed by CPCRI.

Shri Deepu Krishnan P R , Asst. Manager, Kerala Start Up Mission told that they are hand-holding entrepreneurs obtaining technologies from organisations like CPCRI  for converting innovative ideas to business ventures through support schemes.

About 200 stakeholders participated in the celebration, including visits to the farm, lab and technology product exhibitions.
