In commemoration of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of ICAR-CPCRI, Research Centre, Kidu, a SCSP funded training programme on ‘Improved nursery techniques and superior quality planting material production in coconut and coconut seedlings distribution programme to SC farmers’ was conducted at ICAR-CPCRI, RC, Kidu on 30th August 2022.

Dr. C T Jose, Acting Head, ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal, was the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the programme and also shared his rich reminiscence about the Centre. Dr. K. Muralidharan, Head, Social Science Division, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, presided over the programme. Dr. K.S. Ananda, former Head, ICAR-CPCRI, RS, Vittal was also present.

Dr. V. Niral, Pr. Sci & Contact Officer, Dr. Samsudeen, Pr. Sci., CPCRI Kasaragod, Shri Diwakar Y. Scientist In-Charge, Kidu and Shri Ananda, Supervisor, Kadaba Region, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Programme, have shared their expertise and offered felicitations for the programme.

The training had participation of about 70 farmers belonging to SC community. About 700 coconut seedlings were distributed to the participants.
