International Yoga Day observed at ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod
Jun 21, 2021 : CPCRI-KASARAGOD | Author:Web Admin‘Yoga for Immunity’ sounds meaningful ever before in the troubled days of the Covid pandemic, remarked Dr. Anitha Karun, Director, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod while speaking in the function organized to observe the 7th international yoga day by the Institute. Incorporating basic yoga exercises into a daily routine could be an excellent way to achieve both physical and mental fitness, she said. Taking a cue from this year’s theme, ‘Yoga for Wellness’, an online demonstration of simple yoga exercises that can easily be practiced at workplaces to provide comfort for eyes, ears, neck, and hands and Pranayama was organized at the Institute. The live demonstration session, conducted through videoconferencing mode, was led by Smt. Sreelatha (Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Official Language), who is also a Art of Living Teacher , with able support from Shri Narayana Naik (Assistant, ICAR-CPCRI). The event was attended by all staff members of ICAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod, other Centers of ICAR-CPCRI and staff of ICAR-DCR, Puttur, Karnataka.
