ICAR Vigilance Awareness Week commemorated at Regional Station, Kayamkulm

Vigilance Awareness Week was observed with full dignity at ICAR-CPCRI, Regional Station strictly adhering to COVID-19 protocol. An oath taking ceremony participated by all scientists and staff was held on 27-10-2020 at 11.00 am. A sensitization workshop on the assigned theme “Vigilant India, Prosperous India” was held on 02- 10-2020 with an essay writing competition in English or Malayalam followed by a Quiz contest on “Organizational Vigilance”. Both the events were actively participated by all staff and scientists of the Regional Station.

During the valedictory function, Dr Chandrika Mohan, Principal Scientist welcomed the gathering and called upon participants to be ever vigilant to make India flourishing. In her presidential address, Dr S. Kalavathi, Acting Head emphasized on the vigilant self for a vigilant India. She advised to upkeep the conscience of an individual clean and right mindfulness for the Institution and Nation to radiate with good value system. This fosters a positive work place culture and showcase good attitude in the Organization, she added.

Dr. A. Joseph Rajkumar, Principal Scientist delivered the valedictory address highlighting on COVID-19 vigilance through social vaccine, Agricultural ecosystem withstanding pandemic pressure, Digital and Vigilant India as transparency, responsible and accountable, Scientific vigilance on climate change and genetic erosion, righteous deeds for a happy and reputable life and Institutional vigilance and trendsetting for enhancing the visibility of the Organization. He called for “One Health” approach for an environmentally responsible India to become prosperous. Memorabilia was distributed to all winners and runners-up of the essay competition and quiz contest by the Acting Head. Dr. G. Rajeev, Assistant Chief Technical Officer and Assistant Public Information Officer proposed the vote of thanks.

Dr G. Rajeev, ACTO and APIO and Dr Anes, K.M. Scientist co-ordinated the programme. Dr. M. Shareefa, Sr. Scientist moderated the Quiz contest.
