CPCRI is headed by the Director, who looks after the management of research and administration of the Institute. One Chief Administrative Officer, two Administrative Officer and five Assistant Administrative Officers assist him at the Headquarters. They are assisted by administrative staff belonging to different categories such as Assistants, Senior Clerks, Junior Clerks. Besides the Heads of Divisions are also provided with Stenographic assistance by the stenographers for direct/speedy disposal of important cases. The administrative wing is organized into Establishment-I, Establishment-II, Bills, Stores and Estate, each headed by an AAO. Adequate administrative powers have been delegated to the Senior/Assistant Administrative Officers. One Assistant Administrative Officer is declared as Drawing & Disbursing Officer to ensure prompt and efficient settlement of personal claims. The ‘Financial’ control is concerned, Director is assisted by a Senior Finance & Accounts Officer, with a JAO and other staff members. The Senior Finance & Accounts Officer also deals with financial matters of Research Centres and functions as the Pension Payment Authority in respect of the Institute. The Heads of the three Regional Stations, are delegated with the required powers for smooth functioning of the Stations. They are assisted by Assistant Administrative Officers, an Assistant Finance & Accounts Officer. The Regional Stations have separate budget allotment and monthly expenditure statement etc. are sent to ICAR directly by them. So far as the Research Centres are concerned, they are headed by Scientist Incharge (Principal Scientist or a Senior Scientist) who has been declared as the Head of Office and Drawing & Disbursing Officer. They have also been provided with adequate clerical and stenographic support, wherever found necessary.
